Project Brief
The purpose of this project was to find the solution to design a music concert venues and cultural center to benefit the community of uptown, a neighborhood where both racial and social diversities are prominent. This project was oriented to design a space that would inspire people of Uptown to practice culture and freedom of expression. My approach was to find a way to create a space where one can feel safe to be vulnerable in their needs and desires. Uptown is a very complex neighborhood, full of opportunities but also full of scars. I approach this project with sensitivity to honor the society and to try to find a way for all the people to enjoy and release on their own will, my approach showcases a simple outer form with a complex interior that demonstrates vast celebration and welcoming that leads people to practice culture and wellness.
Emotional impression expressed though the color of uptown after the empathy research.
