RELEASE+RELIEF
A feeling of relief from being released to an open space from a darker and more compressed space.
This shelter was designed for the forest preservative by Tyler Creek, located within 5 minutes walking distance from Judson University. The approach to this project was to provide a space of where one can come out in joy and be led forth in peace, where one can reflect and gain healing in more private setting looking out to nature. the texture on the surfaces reflects the trees that surround the Shelter. The entry into the shelter starts out with less light and smaller entrance that leads into an open, wide space looking out to the creek.
