Located at a prime location in the center of downtown Elgin in close proximity to the river walk, recreational park, and trains station leading to downtown Chicago, tower is designed with the intention to bring back the vibrant life to the city. Design decisions were made with a great sensitivity to respect the existing urban fabric of the downtown. Use of brick, downtown's major building materials, on the first two levels with its lower structures connects back to the existing structures of its context and served to be a continuation of the existing streets. The tower is placed on the axis of South Spring Street, a major street of downtown, to be served as a landmark of downtown and by providing a view to the whole city from the tower reminds the viewers the importance of Elgin. structures of its context and served to be a continuation of the existing streets.
