The concept emphasizes the sensitivity of planes shaped with definite edges of simple planes with its subtle shifts of angles a variety of angles. The idea derived from the meaning of edgy: "tense, nervous, anxious." when something tense gets in contact with an external source, it reacts immediately and reveals the tension inside. The subtle change of plane, likewise, silences the form when it is static but when the form experience even a small shift or change, it reacts dynamically.
