Project Brief
Continuing the existing project on the site of Adventure Learning Center (ALC) in Nassau, Bahamas, this project focuses to continue investigating into the composition, building organization, and context. Working in teams of three students, the purpose of this project was to propose a design for the new facilities for ALC which were sports center, welcome center, and men and women's dorms. While proposing a well-composited design, a very important part of this project was to respect and take in the Bahamian vernacular in the design.
My role in the team was to design a sports center for ALC. The design of the sports center takes consideration of natural ventilation to let out the moisture and hot air out and to bring in the new fresh air and provides enough shading to allow for a resting place for the users.
